Something missing

I forgot to tell you that we had a most wonderful evening at Jacob's school on the 22nd. Of Dec. He goes to a Montessori school and it's just grand. I wish I could have gone to such a school.

This is his class room.

Jacob lighting a candle, the school was so beautiful with candles everywhere, I'm certain in America there would be some rule against it.

This is Jacob's teacher, Lucia, Lena and Lukas's Mom. She is demonstrating wreath making using tangerine peels and boxwood. Very
charming.

Rachel and Luis Burger. The newest Burger. He belongs to Andy's oldest brother Michael and his wife Rebecca.

The new mom and Luis.

We paid a last visit to the flower mkt. before Christmas.

David met us after school.

Just in time for practice for the Christmas production.

Hannah visiting with her friend Anna Rosa.

David is the angle.

This is the priest.

Hannah gets to read.

Then we are off to music. Hannah and David are working on a concert for Christmas. This is their teacher David, he's from Barcelona and quite a character. Their class is in the home of a former Count, very grand

Group shot.

After music we hop a bus for a little shopping.

Fun and games in Bregenz

This is how Hannah looks when she beats me at checkers, she looks this way often.

Everyone is amused.

Hannah rearranged her bedroom.

The eve before Christmas and all through the house everyone was busy.

The table is set and now it's time for church. Hannah and David have a part in the program. David is an angel and Hannah will read.

Walking is much faster.

This is St. Galls.

The music was great and the kids did a great job.

We arrived home to discover Christkind had paid us a visit and set our tree alight. At this point the sparklers had mostly burned out but the candles are still going.

Among the gifts that Christkind left was a birdhouse with 20 pounds of birdseed.

Hannah was excited to get a pink computer. Now she can Skype us all.

Advent candles and tree candles.

A moment of repose.

Dinner was raclette Ummmmmm. It's melted cheese poured over various things, potatoes, mushrooms, ham, bread whatever you want. It's fun and yummy! The machine in the middle of the table is used to melt the cheese.

On Christmas day Hannah and David had alter duty again.
